Use

Positioning

Place Pediturn on the floor. Position the client's feet on
the middle of Pediturn so that the client's legs are per-
pendicular to the device.

Use

When manually handling a client in the seated position, the
client's legs will now follow the client, thus avoiding strain
on the client's foot, knee and hip joints (Illustration 2).

When manually handling a client standing, it is crucial that
the client can stand/bear his/her own weight. The carer
guides the client to the standing position and ensures that
the client holds his/her balance. Ideally, the carer places one
foot on the middle of Pediturn to help the client turn into
the correct position. Then the client can slowly sit down
again (Illustration 1).

It will often be advantageous to use a Support Belt, Sling or
SmartMove with Pediturn.
