Water tank C
We recommend that you clean the tank thoroughly and regularly (about once a week).
Use regular washing-up liquid and then rinse the tank with clean water. So as to prevent
build-up of scale deposits, we recommend that you also rinse the tank under running water
once a day.
Strainer (C1)
Sliding it outwards, remove the strainer from the water tank
C
. Clean it with a soft brush
under running water to get rid of built-up deposits. Proceed in reverse order to put the sieve
back.
Residual water tray F, coffee dregs container G and drip tray H
Disassemble the individual coffee machine components as per Fig. 3. Wash them with
regular washing-up liquid, rinse them under running water and let them dry.
Whenever the indicator
B8
start flashing, remove the coffee dregs. Wash the container
G
regularly. In addition to that, regularly empty and wash the residual water tray which absorbs
additional moisture and liquid while the coffee dregs are shifting. Empty the drip tray as
required. If you use an external container for the hot water flush and the tray I is not full
as a result, wash it at least once a week for hygienic purposes nonetheless.
Steam nozzle
Every time the steam nozzle is used, it needs to be cleaned afterwards. You can do so by
activating it into a container with fresh water, wiping it dry with a dry cloth afterwards. In
addition to that, dismantle it regularly to clean it as per Fig. 7. Rinse the components under
running water, let them dry and proceed in reverse order to assemble and place them back.
If necessary, clean the openings with a long narrow object (toothpick, needle, etc.).
Brewing unit E
You can remove the brewing unit and place it back as per the procedure shown in Fig.
8 (while re-attaching it, do not press the locking buttons - when mounted properly, the
brewing unit will click). Wash the brewing unit under warm running water and allow it to dry
thoroughly. Use the brush I to remove any ground coffee residues from the brewing unit
compartment and opening as per the detail in Fig. 8. When cleaning it, insert the residual
water tray
F
into the coffee machine to collect any ground coffee falling off. Wipe the cover
E2
with a wet cloth and let it dry.
EMPTYING THE SYSTEM - WHEN NOT USED FOR A LONGER TIME
If you are not going to use the coffee machine for a longer period of time, clean it and discharge
water from the coffee machine piping system for hygienic purposes. Proceed as follows:
1) Place an empty bowl under the outflow and the steam nozzle.
2) Turn the coffee machine on with the switch
A1
and wait until all the buttons come on.
3) Press the switch
A1
and the lungo
B2
button simultaneously and keep them pressed
for approximately 5 seconds until you hear two signal sounds.
4) The “drain the system” indicator
B11
will start flashing.
5) Remove the water tank
C
from the coffee machine. The icon
B11
will be on steadily.
Until you remove the water tank, you can suspend the operation by pressing the switch
A1
.
6) The pump will start draining residual water from the piping system and discharge it
through the steam nozzle into an external container you have provided.
