• Connect the mains cable plug into a socket. By way of a test, the detector will beep
briefly and the
3 LEDs (fig. 1a - 1c)
will flash once.
• The
green LED (fig. 1a)
will flash for approx. 10 minutes (warm-up phase). If the
green LED
lights up continuously, the device is operational.
• Press the test button
(fig. 1d)
(for up to 5 seconds) until a loud, pulsating alarm signal
can be heard (see Section 5 Test/Maintenance).
• To relay the alarm, use the terminal on the reverse of the detector
(fig. 1f)
. If the alarm
is triggered, 9 V will be output.
The PROTECTOR GD 230 V ∼ is not able to receive alarm signals.
You have the option of connecting the detector to the following devices:
- PROTECTOR switching relay (accessory)
(fig. 1g)
- up to 30 PROTECTOR 9 V smoke detectors
- PROTECTOR RF-IO-Module
