Install the power section in the required position and connect the
presence detector as shown in the circuit diagram
(Fig. 3)
.
4 • START-UP
Connect the power supply
• This initiates a warm-up phase that lasts approx. 60 seconds.
During this phase, the illuminants switch on and the LEDs light up.
• As part of the addressing procedure, the PD 360i/8 DALI ADR is
randomly assigned a short address between 1 and 64.
These short addresses (up to 64 in total) can be allocated to a
maximum of 15 groups.
The group settings can be changed on the HEX coding switch
without disconnecting the power supply.
HEX coding switch position:
0 = Broadcast
A = Group 9
1 = Group 0
B = Group 10
2 = Group 1
C = Group 11
3 = Group 2
D = Group 12
4 = Group 3
E = Group 13
5 = Group 4
F = Group 14
6 = Group 5
7 = Group 6
8 = Group 7
9 = Group 8
The detectors are preset to
factory settings/remote control
and are
therefore immediately ready for use after the warm-up phase.
No more than 1 presence detector may be used per group. A master/slave
connection is not possible.
Overview of factory settings
Factory settings
Light value for light channel
Working area (approx. 2,000 lux)
Switch-off delay time for light channel
10 seconds
Mode
Fully automatic
5 • OPERATION
Depending on the preset light value, each time movement is detected
the
red LED
will briefly flash twice (the LED can be switched off - see
chapters 7 and 8. The presence detector operates according to its
default factory settings.
Switch delay
The detector will only be triggered after a time delay to avoid
sudden changes in brightness caused by undesired switching on/off
of the lighting when persons are present.
Example: a passing cloud could potentially cause unnecessary
switching.
Time delay from “light to dark”: 10 seconds =
red LED
lights up for 10 seconds
Time delay from “dark to light”: 5 minutes
