The POWER4 amplifier module can be used in different enclosure types. However, the following should be
noted here: With regard to the cooling of the module, larger enclosures, especially bassreflex systems with
sufficient air circulation inside the enclosure, are not a problem. In the case of very small or closed enclosures,
due to the very small internal volume or the lack of air exchange, sufficient cooling is not guaranteed when the
module is operated at the highest power level.
Therefore, the module has a special feature: depending on the type of enclosure and the prevailing air circula-
tion and the load capacity of the connected subwoofer, the output power can be adjusted in 3 stages. In this
way, the module can be ideally adapted to the performance of the subwoofer and the thermal conditions and
overheating can be prevented.
To adjust for optimal performance, remove the cover (as described in the figure below). You will find a three-
way switch in the top center under the cover. This is in position A ex works, which corresponds to the full
output power without a limiter. Now you can simply switch to select the desired power level (A, B or C).
A: Full Power Mode (Switch position up)
1 x 460 W/RMS @ 4 Ohm at 14,4 V
