WARNING: All operators of this power tool should read and understand all tool labels, installation
manuals, owner’s manuals, and packaging information before connecting the tool to an air supply. It
is the operator’s responsibility to learn how to work with a power tool before connecting the power
supply. If an operator is unsure or uncomfortable using power tool, STOP, do not continue.
DANGER
: Failure to operate or work with power tools responsibly can result in serious injuries to the
operator, or anyone within the work area. Keep others out of the work area whenever possible. Opera
-
tor and others nearby must wear safety glasses, ear protection and suitable safety equipment
.
Use this
tool for installing deck boards only, do not use the tool for anything other than standard decking materi
-
als in soft to medium soft decking boards up to 28 mm thickness.
WARNING
: This tool has a trigger safety that is attached to the tool base pivot. The base must be place
on decking, that is over a joist or substrate. The base must be depressed to disengage the safety and
activate the trigger, to fire the tool.
WARNING
: Doing this will trigger the tool to fire a fastener, do this only when the tool is on a work sur
-
face that is ready to be fastened.
WARNING:
Never pull the trigger unless the tool is on a work surface that is ready to be fastened. Keep
your hands and body away from the discharge area of the tool. Never point the tool at yourself or oth
-
ers.
DANGER:
Do not use oxygen, combustible gases, or bottled gases as a power source for this tool as tool
may explode, possibly causing serious injury.
DANGER:
Do not use an air supply which can potentially exceed 13 Bar of pressure. Maximum pressure
into the tool is 8 Bar.
DANGER:
Do not use the tool near highly flammable, combustible, or explosive gases, vapors, fumes,
fluids or any other highly flammable materials.
WARNING:
Connect the tool to a clean regulated air supply with a coupling that removes all pressure
from the tool when the coupling is disconnected.
WARNING:
Always disconnect the air supply, before adjusting, servicing the tool, clearing a jam, when
tool is not in use, or when moving to a different work area. Never use a tool that is leaking air, has miss
-
ing or damaged parts. Always make sure all screws and caps are tight. Do not use the tool if the trigger
is inoperable, broken or missing, do not alter the tool, or safeties in any way.
Before installing any decking boards, check all decking manufacturer requirements, recommended spac
-
ing between boards width and length.
Installing Gap Spacer Plates. Fig: 1 + 2.
Install the proper gap plate into the tool base, to achieve your
required gap between decking boards. Place the
gap plate at the base of the tool, align the plate re
-
cessed edge with the groove in the base. Push in the small
round pin sticking out from the base.
Slide
the plate in, and the pin should drop back down by spring pressure. The pin will hold the gap plate in
place
while the tool is being used. Push the pin in and slide the plate out when you wish to change plate
/ gap size.
Loading fasteners. Fig: 3 + 3b + 4 + 5 + 6.
Load fasteners into the end of the tool magazine (max 4 clips
of 25pcs). EDGEFAST fasteners have collating tape
on one flat side, so fastener strips should be held with
