    1.  Inspection of Switch 

               

When the Power Switch is turned ON “

”, check the following to  

confirm that power is actually being supplied to the equipment. 

              The green indicator of the power switch on the front panel is lit. 

    2.  Inspection of Illumination 

     

 

Press the LAMP switch to confirm whether the lamp can be activated.

 

Rotate the BRIGHTNESS control switch to confirm that the brightness can be changed 

accordingly and the light is emitted from the Distal End of the endoscope.  

 

Press the PUMP switch to confirm that air is coming from the air pump. 

 

    3.  Inspect  the Image on the Monitor 

           

When the Video Endoscope Processor is switched on, the start up  

image appears on the monitor. After a few seconds, the image from the endoscope (or 
optional rigid endoscopy camera) will appear on the monitor. 
Confirm the endoscope image is normal by observing an object such as your hand. (if 
connected with ancillary monitor, please check the image on the ancillary monitor) 
 

4.  Operation 

           The operator of this instrument must be a physician or medical 

personnel under the supervision of a physician and must have received 
sufficient training in clinical endoscopic technique. This manual, 
therefore, does not explain or discuss clinical endoscopic procedures. It 
only describes basic operation and precautions related to the operation 
of this instrument. 

 
4-2    Parameter Adjustment 
 

 1.   White Balance Adjust 

          Point to a white background. (the image should be clear); 
          

Press “AWB” to start up white balance (The parameter display screen shows “WHITE  

BALANCING

” ); Do not move until the parameter display screen shows “BALANCE OK” . 

The image color displayed on monitor should be accordant with the pointed white 
background. White balance will be stored every time. Therefore, it always shows the 
same color (the parameters haven

’t been altered) 

The white balance should be readjusted when the following conditions occur: 

i.  The lamp is replaced 

ii.  Using a different type of endoscope 

 

2.  Other Parameters Adjust: 

Press the SELECT button for the first time, the LCD shows 

‘BRIGHTNESS X’ 

(

‘brightness value’), it indicates that the parameter of brightness has been selected, and 

can be edited. Press the button again, activating the other parameters in turn. Thus, the 
following parameters can be adjusted (next page):
