CHAPTER 4 OPERATION INSTRUCTION
4-1 Inspection At Startup
Warning
Do not use a 3-pin to 2-pin transform plug as this may increase
the chance of an accidental electric shock.
Use personal protective equipment to guard against cleaning
chemicals and potentially infectious material. During operation,
wear appropriate protective equipment, such as eye wear, mask,
moisture-resistant clothing and chemical-resistant gloves to
protect your skin from direct contact of fluids from blood,
mucous and other potentially infectious material.
Warning
Do not look directly to the light while the lamp is working. The
Intense light from endoscope
’s distal end and light output of
the light source may damage your eyes.
Caution
Keep the equipment working for more than 30 minutes after the
lamp has started operating. Less than 30 minutes of working
time may slightly shorten the life of the lamp.
Restart only after the lamp has cooled down for more than 5
minutes, otherwise the lamp could be damaged.
Before each case, inspect the instrument as instructed below. Inspect all other equipment
to be used with the instrument as instructed in their respective instruction manuals.
Should the slightest irregularity be suspected, do not use the instrument and see
“Troubleshooting” (
Appendix I)
. If the irregularity is still suspected after consulting
“Troubleshooting”, contact us. Damage or irregularity may compromise patient or user
safety and may result in more-severe equipment damage.
