PURPOSE FOR WHICH IT IS INTENDED. FAILURE TO DO SO MAY CAUSE DAMAGE

This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and persons with
reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if
they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe
way and understand the hazards involved. Children shall not play with the appliance.
Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children without supervision.

Only a qualified electrician is allowed to perform electrical installations to the appliance.

When pumping out surface waters (e.g. lake), it must be taken into account that at least 1
m water must always be provided from the bottom of the pump.

It is prohibited to use this pump in the swimming pool.

This pump is designed only for pumping of clean water. It must not be used for pumping
of corrosive, abrasive, highly flammable or explosive substances (gasoline, petrol) or
cleaning fluids, greases, oils, salty or dirty water or chemicals.

The water temperature should not exceed 35
˚
C.

This pump is not designed for continuous use. The pump operation must not exceed 2
hours to be followed by a 20-minute shutdown. The total use of the pump in each day-and-
night period must not exceed twelve hours.

The appliance should be provided with a residual current device (RCD) with a tripping
current of not more than 30mA.

Always check the pump and especially the power cord and plug before use. If you notice
that the pump is damaged, do not use it but let the pump be checked by an authorized
service centre. The power cord cannot be repaired. If the cord is damaged, the pump
should be discarded.

Make the electrical connections in a dry location, protected from water and moisture.

Protect the plug and power cord from moisture, heat, oil and sharp edges.

Check the voltage. The socket voltage must comply with the appliance rated voltage.

The pump must be protected from the frost.

Do not run the pump dry as it may result in pump wearing quickly. The pump should
therefore be shut off immediately after the flow has stopped.

Never pull out the plug by the cord when unplugging the pump.

Never use the power cord or the hose for suspending or moving the pump. Use an appro-
priate rope that is attached to the handle for lowering, lifting or suspending the pump.

Do not modify the pump in any way.
