5. Exchange of the rechargeable Battery
On average, the rechargeable battery in the light globe must be replaced
every 2-3 years with a new one of the same design and type. A LiFePO4
battery of the size (14500) with 3.2 V/ 600 mAh is used here. You can
obtain a replacement battery from your dealer or from the manufacturer at
www.esotec.de.
Please proceed as follows when replacing the battery.
1. Switch off the ball via the button on the underside (picture 1).
2. Loosen the 6 screws on the bottom of the ball with a suitable screwdriver
and carefully remove the bottom part (Pic. 3).
3. Loosen the two screws next to the solar module and carefully remove it
(Pic. 4+5).
4. Remove the battery from the holder and replace it with a new battery of
the same design (Fig. 5).
5. Reassemble the sphere in reverse order and switch on the sphere using
the button on the bottom.
6. Activate the globe again with the IR remote control.
The lamp is now ready for operation again!
6. Malfunctions
1. It is not possible to control the light color of the globe by means of
the remote control!

remote control (only for initial operation)?
Remedy: Note that the globe can only be remote-controlled at night!
Remedy: Battery in the remote control too weak or exhausted? Replace

Remedy: No sunshine during the day. If the sky is cloudy and there
is no sunshine, the built-in battery in the globe will not be sufficiently
charged! Wait for a sunny day!
Remedy: This is an IR remote control. To control the globe, please point
the remote control towards the globe. 2.
