Changing Vision’s Settings
To specify what to do when you
insert a DVD
1. Select DVD/CD Player
2. Select Preferences
3. Select DVD Insert
4. Select Import and Eject to automati
-
cally import (then eject) a DVD in
-
serted into the front panel disc drive,
or select Display and Play to automati
-
cally play any DVD inserted into the
front panel disc drive.
To specify what to do when you
insert a CD
1. Select DVD/CD Player
2. Select Preferences
3. Select CD Insert
4. Select Import and Eject to automatically import (then eject) a CD inserted into
the front panel disc drive, or select Display and Play to automatically play any
CD inserted into the front panel disc drive.
To specify the format for storing music imported using the front
panel drive
1. Select DVD/CD Player
2. Select Preferences
3. Select CD Import
4. Select the desired format to store music that you import using the front panel:
5. MP3 encoder (most compatible with other devices)
6. FLAC (same quality as the original CD with a 50% savings in storage space)
7. WAV (exact copy of the original CD – uses the most disc space)
8. If you selected the MP3 Encoder, select the bitrate or quality for MP3 format
-
ted files. The higher the bitrate, the better the quality and the more space
required for each track.
Use the Setup menu to manage Vision’s global settings. For all of the fol-
lowing tasks, select SETUP from the main menu and then proceed with
the steps listed…
To change the language for the on-screen menus
1. Select Language
2. Select On Screen User Interface
3. Select the desired language
To adjust the screen saver settings
1. Select General
2. Select Screen Saver
3. Select the desired time to wait (with no user interaction) before starting the
screen saver.
To adjust the now playing auto return time-out
1. Select General
2. Select Now Playing Auto-Return
3. Select the desired time to wait (with no user interaction) before automatically
switching to the Now Playing screen from any other screen. This feature is ac
-
tive only when music is playing.
To set the time zone
1. Select General
2. Select Time Zone
3. Select the time zone where your Vision is located. This is used to set the inter
-
nal clock and to periodically check for automatic updates during off hours.
To adjust the TV resolution
1. Select TV Resolution
2. Select Restore Defaults to set the HDMI output to 720p and the analog out
-
puts to 480i, or
3. Select HDMI to select from the available digital video output resolutions, or
4. Select Analog to select from the available analog (composite, s-video, compo
-
nent) video output resolutions.
