Using with live image on PC
cross and measurement graphics change to red. Tap the display to save the settings
and to return to the previous screen.
Calibrating and displacing the coordinate cross axes
Tap this button to calibrate or shift the axes for the coordinate cross. After this, tap
the display in order to shift the x-axis with the / buttons and the y-axis with the
/ buttons as required. In this mode, the colour of the coordinate cross changes
to red. If you tap both of the above icons / simultaneously the scale can be
relocated to the base position (centred on the display). Tap the display again to save
the settings and return to the previous screen.
Calibration takes place using the button. The magnifying glass must be placed on
the supplied scale to carry out calibration. Otherwise, the top edge of the display will
show: "Calibration not successful". Tap the button repeatedly to switch between
the two scales with different divisions. Tap the icon to discard the selection. Tap
the icon to accept the selection.
Updating software
You can see which software version is currently on the testing device by pressing the
"Update software" button. If you register your mobilux DIGITAL Inspection, you will be
informed about any available software updates.
To install an updated software version, proceed as follows:
1. Connect the mobilux DIGITAL Inspection to a PC using the USB cable supplied.
Ensure that the SD card is located in the card slot (
u
).
2. Switch on the mobilux DIGITAL Inspection and tap the icon for the SD card:
The contents of the SD card will now be displayed on the PC as the ‘ESCHEN-
BACH’ drive.
Tip:
The functions you can control using this icon are described in the chapter
entitled "Use with a computer".
3. Use a PC to open the www.eschenbach-optik.com website and find the required
software update.
4. Download the software update and save it directly to the ‘ESCHENBACH’ drive.
5. Disconnect the mobilux DIGITAL Inspection from the PC; the testing device will
now be switched off.
6. Switch the mobilux DIGITAL Inspection on. Tap the display and then tap the
icon twice to call up the second page of device settings.
Tap the button to display the software version currently being used.
Tap the icon to cancel updating and return to the previous screen.
Tap the icon to carry out the update. If the update has been successful, the mo-
