INSTRUCTIONS FOR PROPER USE AND CARE

ASSEMBLY

Prior to assembly, inspect o-rings, washers, connections and equipment for damage, dirt or grease.  Do not
use if damaged.
Before attaching the torch to the tank, turn ON/OFF Ignition Button to the OFF position and turn gas ad-
justment valve clockwise to the closed position.  Do not force knob as it may bind or damage the valve.
Screw the torch onto the gas tank.  Press down and turn clockwise.  Hand tighten.  Do not use a wrench or
other tools to tighten.

LIGHTING

Before each use check connections for leaks using a soapy water so-
lution or leak detector fluid.

To light hand torch, turn Ignition Button to the ON position and turn the Gas Adjustment Valve coun-
terclockwise then squeeze Ignition Button to light.  If torch doesn’t light turn Gas Adjustment Valve and
squeeze button.  Never look into tip end.
Push Flame Lock Button down when a continuous flame is desired.  To release Flame Lock, squeeze and
release Ignition Button.

FLAME ADJUSTMENT

Adjust flame so that wide portion of flame is away from end of tip.  If flame is too small, tip end will over-
heat beyond its normal heating to a red color.  Obtain maximum performance by positioning the flame
between 1 and 2 tip diameters from the object being heated.

TORCH SHUT-OFF

Release Ignition Button to shut flame off or squeeze Ignition Button and release when using the Flame
Lock feature.
Disconnect the fuel tank from the torch.  Do so in a well-ventilated area away from sources of ignition.  It
should be expected that trapped gas inside the torch will be expelled from the torch.
Point torch away from yourself and objects, then squeeze Ignition Button to release any additional trapped
gas inside torch.
Turn the Ignition Button to OFF and close the Gas Adjustment Valve.

STORAGE

Disconnect the torch from the fuel tank.
Store fuel tank in a well-ventilated area away from sources of ignition.
