GLOBAL MAINTENANCE
Recommendation on screwing items:
•
Tightening torques according to screw sizes.

M4 = 3 Nm

M5 = 3 Nm

The use of a medium thread locker (see: LOCTITE® 243) is required for any screw item that is dismantled then
reassembled on the exoskeleton. The green arrows indicate where the thread locker must be used.

MAINTENANCE PLAN
The checks and maintenance frequency varies according to the degree of current use.

Visual checks
o
Backpack straps: Textiles must not show any tears or excessive fraying that could affect the product
integrity.
o
Lumbar belt: Textiles must not show any tears or excessive fraying that could affect the product integrity.
o
Thigh sleeves: Textiles must not show any tears or excessive fraying that could affect the product integrity.
o
Condition of the spring rods: Three plastic sheathing thicknesses show the springs condition and enable
us to assess their quality.

Yellow sheath: normal use.
▪
Overview on the blue sheath: use with condition monitoring.
▪
Overview on the red sheath: stop using it immediately.

Cleaning
o
Follow the instructions in parts 9.1 and 9.2 to clean the textile parts.

Functional check
o
Unlocking: The mechanism must be able to slide fully without ever being stopped. The ball click ensures
the correct position of the shift rail in one direction or another. If not, carry out a visual inspection and
cleaning if necessary.
o
Mechanism play:
▪
Thigh sleeves: They must remain unmovable relative to the springs. If not, tighten the 4 M4 screws
using the thread locker and a 2.5mm Allen key.
▪
Strap loops: The red tension strap loops must remain unmovable relative to the spring rods.
Otherwise tighten the 2 M4 screws with a 2.5mm Allen key.
▪
Backpack straps attachment: The spring rods must remain fixed in relation to the backpack straps.
If not, reposition the springs and then tighten the 2 M4 grub screws with a 2.5mm Allen key.
