Safety

Use as directed

The machine is suitable as a leaf and waste suction unit. 

Any other use beyond this is considered to be improper 

and prohibited. The manufacturer is not liable for any 

damage resulting from this; the user alone bears the 

risk of such damage. 
Intended use also includes compliance with the oper-

ating and maintenance conditions prescribed by the 

manufacturer.  

Possible Misuse

Do not absorb wires, cables or heavy stones. Damage to 

the machine and/or injury caused by skidding may occur. 

Do not push any objects with your foot under the suction 

cup. (Danger of injury!) 

Do not suck in any objects that could block the fan. 

(Property damage!).

General Sources of Danger

Application and Operation

Before starting work, the unit, including all possible at-

tachments, must be checked for proper condition and 

operational safety. 
The operator must use the device as intended. 
Operation in closed rooms is forbidden. 
Operation of the device only by persons who have been 

instructed in the use of the machine or have proven their 

ability to operate it and are expressly instructed to use it. 
When starting the engine, there must be no other per-

sons near the unit.  
All protective devices must be properly installed and 

functioning. 
Never leave the machine unattended. 

When leaving the machine, switch off the engine and 

secure the machine against unintentional movements.
The unit must never be operated without a collecting bag. 
The operator is responsible for accidents involving other 

persons or their property.  

Product-specific Hazards

Do  not  suck  in  flammable  substances  or  hot  objects 

(e. g. ash, barbecue coal) (danger to life due to burns).

Danger from Engine Operation

Do not touch engine parts during operation and there-

after (risk of burning due to hot surfaces).
Before carrying out any work on the unit, as well as 

cleaning, maintenance and repair work, switch off the 

engine and allow it to cool down (danger of burning due 

to hot surfaces).
Before carrying out any work on the unit, shut it down 

and remove the spark plug connector.

Do not refill petrol when the engine is running (hazard 

of life due to combustion and/or explosion).

Immediately wipe any spilled petrol with a cloth (danger 

of death due to combustion and/or explosion).
Store petrol only in designated containers.
Exhaust gases are toxic and harmful to health, they must 

not be inhaled.

Danger during Operation

Only gradients of up to 20% maximum may be used.

Particular care must be taken when driving across the 

slope (danger of tipping over).

Dangers for children, elderly persons and animals

The operator must take into account the local conditions 

and the impact of noise on persons and animals.
The unit must never be parked on a slope.
Children, elderly persons and animals must not be near 

the equipment.
Children are not allowed to play with the machine.

Maintenance

Cleaning, repair and maintenance work as well as the 

elimination of malfunctions may only be carried out 

when the engine has been shut down. 

If necessary, remove the spark plug connector. 

The unit must not be cleaned with a water hose or 

high-pressure washer; there is a risk of short circuits or 

other damage. 

Observe the safety check in accordance with the 

locally applicable regulations for portable, commercially 

used equipment. 

Always carry out work on the unit using suitable tools. 

Only use original spare parts from the manufacturer.

Personnel and User Qualification

Persons with limited physical, sensory or mental abilities 

or lack of experience and/or knowledge are not allowed 

to use the device unless a person responsible for their 

safety supervises the operation or instruction.
Young people under 16 years of age are prohibited from 

operating the device.
The responsiveness of the user must not be impaired, e. 

g. by drugs, alcohol or medication.
The operator must have been instructed in the operation 

of the unit. 
The operator must be familiar with the instructions in the 

operating instructions..
