propriate working order and is correctly positioned in the
groove of the cylinder connector.
WARNING! Check that the pressure reducer is securely posi-
tioned on the argon gas cylinder. The pressure reducer
should not be loose.
8. Place the pressure line (quick coupling) onto the connection
on the rear of the APC device.
9. Connect the pressure sensor at the back of the APC device.
10. Slowly unscrew the gas cylinder valve until it is fully open.
Then turn it back again approx. a half-turn. Argon now flows
into the lines (a brief hissing sound may be heard)
WARNING! If the hissing sound continues for more than 2
seconds, there is a leak. Close the gas cylinder valve again
immediately. Check whether the connection of the pressure
reducer and the pressure line is in fact leak-tight. The APC
device may only be used when the leak has been rectified.

Cleaning and disinfection
Do not sterilize!
The pressure reducer may only be cleaned from the outside. To
do so, use a cotton flannel and a medical-grade alcohol solution.
All other methods of cleaning are prohibited!
WARNING! Flammable and explosive materials must have evap-
orated fully prior to switching on the APC device and the electro-
surgical unit.

Maintenance
Servicing and repair work may only be performed by competent
persons and by persons trained by ERBE. If this work is per-
formed by unqualified persons, ERBE accepts no liability and the
warranty is void.
Only use original spare parts.
