Announcements generators configuration
We wanted periodical announcements for both decoders. Assuming the announcements files must
be the same for them, there is only one generator to setup. Let’s enter the ‘Announcements’ tab inside
‘Generators’, and press
Add
.
We enter the first settings:
Id:
‘Announcements 1’, a simple one.
Interval
(the silence between announcements): ‘300’ seconds
Quality
: ‘PCM 32000’ as it is the higher available.
Start automatically
: ‘true’
Emission mode
: ‘random’. If you want a fixed order for the files, select ‘normal’.
Selecting the appropiate
destinations
is easy thanks to our labeling of the destinations ids, we mark
‘E415 Ad2 announcements’ and ‘E417 Ad2 announcements’.
What is left is the announcements folder and the files to play. To do that, we create a folder by
pressing
Create
and we enter a name for the folder, for instance ‘Announcements’ , which we
should
Confirm
. By now this should be the aspect of the configuration:
The uploading of the files is probably one of the most important things to understand. Let’s suppose
we have a folder in our PC with the announcements we want in ogg format: add1.ogg, add2.ogg… up to 15
different announcements. After a click on
Add files
and the
Browse files
button which will appear below it,
we go to the folder containing the announcements and we select all 15 files. If the size of all the files were
greater than 100 MB (which is the maximum size per upload), we should have selected less files, and do the
uploading in two steps.
