Windows System Requirements
To use your printer and its software, your system should have:
■ A Microsoft

Windows compatible PC with a Pentium

I or better (for Windows 95) or a
Pentium II or better processor (233 MHz or faster recommended)
■ Microsoft Windows XP, Windows 2000, Windows Me, Windows 98, or Windows 95
(EPSON Stylus C43SX only)
■ At least 64MB RAM (128MB recommended)
■ 100MB free hard disk space (200MB or more recommended)
■ VGA or better display adapter and monitor
■ 2× CD-ROM or DVD drive for installing the printer software (4× or faster recommended)
■ For a USB connection: A shielded USB “AB” cable up to 2 meters (6

5 feet) long.
For a parallel connection: a high-speed, bidirectional IEEE-1284 compliant parallel cable, up to
3 meters (10 feet long); the cable must have a D-SUB, 25-pin, male connector for your
computer, and a 36-pin, Centronics
®
compatible connector for the printer.
Macintosh System Requirements
To use your EPSON Stylus CX43UX printer and its software, your system should have:
■ An Apple iMac ™ series or Power Macintosh ® G3 or G4 with built-in USB port
■ Macintosh OS 8.5.1 through 9.x, OS X 10.1 or higher (Macintosh OS 9.0 or later
recommended)
■ At least 32MB RAM for OS 8.5.1 through OS 9.x (64MB recommended); 128MB RAM
recommended for OS X
■ At least 100MB free hard disk space (200MB recommended)
