Safety Manual Rev.4
CAUTION
■
The Manipulator must be installed to avoid interference with buildings,
structures, utilities, other machines and equipment that may create a
trapping hazard or pinch points.
■
Oscillation (resonance) may occur during operation depending on
rigidity of the installation table. If the oscillation occurs, improve rigidity
of the table or change the speed or acceleration and deceleration
settings.
■
Only authorized or certified personnel should be allowed to perform
wiring. Wiring by unauthorized or uncertified personnel may result in
bodily injury and/or malfunction of the robot system.
■
Wall mounting and ceiling mounting:
When mounting the Manipulator on a wall or ceiling, secure the
Manipulator to the wall or ceiling that has enough strength and
rigidity. Mounting the Manipulator on a wall or ceiling that has
insufficient strength and rigidity is extremely hazardous and may
result in serious bodily injury and/or severe equipment damage to
the robot system as the Manipulator may fall or vibrate.
■
Wall mounting and ceiling mounting:
When mounting the Manipulator on a wall or ceiling, for safety
purposes, attach the support to the Manipulator base to prevent the
Manipulator from falling. If the Manipulator falls, it is extremely
hazardous and may result in serious bodily injury and/or severe
equipment damage to the robot system.
■
When cleaning the Manipulator, do not rub it strongly with alcohol or
benzene.
It may lose luster on the coated face.
■
Be careful not to let machining dust, wire cut wastes or contamination
get inside the robot controller. They can cause malfunctions and fire.
■
Do not subject the connector to shocks or loads when connecting
cables.
■
Do not pull the cables forcibly when disconnecting cables.
■
Make sure that the serial numbers on each equipment match. Improper
connection may not only cause improper function of the robot system
but also safety problems.
■
Before connecting the connector, make sure that the pins are not bent.
Connecting with the pins bent may damage the connector and result in
malfunction of the robot system.
