Additional Supporting Notes

(In relation to the Bulk Ink Feeder.)

1.  The bulk ink feeder box contains a syringe and hypodermic needle, this is in case the need

arises to re-prime the system should it ever be allowed to run dry. Please think carefully about
where this is stored.

2.  When installing the bulk ink feeder, please ensure that the ink feeding tubes are not twisted.

3.

Please retain the left over parts, installation instruction booklet, CD’s, syringes, small rubber
bungs and spare parts in the bulk ink feeder box for future use.

4.  Please note that the ArTainium CD contains specific instruction for printing with the ICC

profile from design packages such as Photoshop, Illustrator and CorelDraw.

Do not worry if you see a small amount of air in the
tubes when you first install the system.

This will quickly find its way to the top of the cartridges
during the initial head charge.

** This tiny amount of air in no way impedes  **

** the full working order of the system. **

Additional Notes

After the ink charge, print out a nozzle check to see if all the colours are printing correctly. If they are, the installation is
completed. If not, perform a head clean and test the nozzle check again.

If still not perfect you can perform one or two more head cleans (do not overuse this exercise) until you get a good
nozzle check.

Occasionally a printer will stubbornly refuse to print a perfect nozzle check after a couple of head cleans. There can be
a number of reasons for this including the recent fitting of a dye sublimation system for the first time or a printer being
left for a long period of time without running any prints.

If you have to run more than a couple of head cleans be careful not to overdo it. Run up to 5 head cleans but keep
checking the nozzles after each one. If the nozzle pattern improves dramatically but is not perfect leave the printer to
sit for at least 1 hour then check the nozzles again.

Sometimes the nozzle check has improved further still without wasting any more ink (and trying your patience). If there
are only a couple of nozzles missing try a print to see if this kicks in those last couple.

Further head cleans when the nozzle check is almost perfect can often result in the whole thing going backwards and
the nozzle checks becoming very poor.

Now complete the following steps, in order:

i) Install the Printer Driver
ii) Install the ICC Profile - to ensure correct colour on your print outs.
iii) Configure the printer driver.

**

Note: the small bungs are specifically required at a later date when you need to refill the ink chambers **
