PROBLEM

cartridge or SBA
Remove cartridge/SBA and
inspect. Remove debris
and/or replace cartridge/SBA if
damaged
Ceramic discs are worn or
damaged
Replace SBA/cartridge
Tap seat is damaged (for SBA
only)
Refurbish tap seat using a
reseating tool. If necessary - fit
reseating kit.
Water is leaking from spindle
O-ring on SBA/Cartridge is
worn or damaged
Replace SBA/Cartridge
Water is not flowing from tap
Poor water flow from outlet
Water turned off.
Turn water on.
Aerator or Flow control is
blocked by debris.
Remove tap and wash debris
from aerator/flow control.
Install an inline strainer.
Handle is wobbly
Handle feels loose
Spline adaptor (octagon insert)
is missing
Ensure spline adaptor is
installed correctly
Handle does not align perfectly
straight
Due to handles being spline mounted, handles may be offset slightly
from vertical or straight. This is normal and unavoidable

Tap bodies are set too far into
the wall
Use extended recess spindle
(SBA only)
Wall flange does not screw
down onto wall surface
Tap bodies are set too far out
Use a trouble dome or flange
extender
