Unpacking the DFE-Gold Module
Unpack
the
DFE
‐
Gold
module
as
follows:
1.
Open
the
box
and
remove
the
packing
material
protecting
the
DFE
‐
Gold
module.
2.
Verify
the
contents
of
the
carton
as
listed
in
Table 3
‐
1
.
3.
Remove
the
tape
seal
on
the
non
‐
conductive
bag
to
remove
the
DFE
module.
4.
Perform
a
visual
inspection
of
the
DFE
‐
Gold
module
for
any
signs
of
physical
damage.

any
signs
of
damage.

Installing Optional Network Expansion Modules
Installing
a
network
expansion
module
involves
•
removing
the
coverplate
from
the
DFE
‐
Gold
module,
•
attaching
the
network
expansion
module
to
the
DFE
‐
Gold
module,
and
•
if
required,
installing
the
Mini
‐
GBICs.
