Adjusting the sample gas extraction rate
The extraction rate must be set to 40 -
80 l / h. Use the pressure reducer
for a preliminary adjustment.
Use the needle valve
of the flow
meter and the valve
for fine
adjustment
Abb. 32
– Adjust the sampel gas
extraction rate
The amount of suction is adjusted by the throttle valve 1 on the pressure reducer 2. It is factory set at 40 to 80 l / h.
It is recommended to fully open the needle valve of the flow meter in order to keep the amount of blowing air
(instrument air) as low as possible.

Working on the Measuring Cuvette
Warning hot Surface
During operation, the test gas inlet and outlet are directly connected to the heated cuvette. The surface
temperature of the sample gas inlet and outlet connections may exceed 100°C.
Direct contact with the hot parts for dismantling or maintenance will cause severe burns!
The cuvette may only be removed with heat-insulated gloves. Before removing the cuvette, always switch
off the supply voltage to the electronic system. After removal, store the probe in a safe, protected place
and wait until it has cooled downs below 35 °C (95 °F).
Caution
Switch off the CO
e
measurement before removing the cuvette as described in
chapter 4.2.17
.
Disconnect the system from the power supply. Disconnect the pneumatic connections on the back of the cuvette and
the electrical connections on the terminal strip.
