9. Troubleshooting
NOTE
The bench drill may only be repaired by an
authorised service center or Customer Service.
If one of the faults listed below occurs, note the
followings:

Disconnect the appliance from any power
supply.
¬
Allow the bench drill to cool down.

Does not start
Mains plug is connected
Main circuit breaker is tripped
Check the socket, mains cable.
Line, mains plug, repairs to
be carried out by qualified
electrician if necessary, check
main circuit breaker.
ON/OFF switch may be defective
Repair by Service Centre
Motor faulty
Noisy or strong vibration
Incorrect V-belts tension
Check and adjust the V-belts
tension
Motor unit not fixed in place
Check and tighten the screws
Bit not centrally clamped
Check the bit in the drill chuck
Drill bit burns
Incorrect speed
Change the speed accordingly
Chips not coming out of the
hole
Clear the chips
Drill bit is dull
Sharpen the drill bit or replace
a new one.
