Charge the built-in rechargeable battery after each
use and at least once a month (see chapter
“Maintaining the capacity of the rechargeable
battery”).
To check the charge status of the built-in
rechargeable battery, proceed as follows:
1. Make sure that the external AC adapter plug 14 is
not connected to the jump starter.
2. To display the charge status, push the On/Off switch
2 .
The indicator in the display shows the rechargeable
battery’s charge status.
The jump starter is equipped with a charge level
indicator in the display 5 that provides a helpful
reference point with regard to the charge status of the
built-in rechargeable battery.

The jump starter has two USB ports 6 (5V / 2.4A).
These can serve as a source of power for many
electronic devices such as mobile phones, MP3
players, digital cameras, etc.
A connector cable for the USB port is not included in
the package contents.
Switch the USB port on and off for each use as follows:
1. Insert the connector cable with the connected
device into one of the two USB ports.
2. To charge the connected device, switch on the jump
starter by pressing the On/Off switch 2 . “USB” will
light up in the display 5 .
3. To end the charging process, switch off the jump
starter by pressing the On/Off switch again.

Risk of damage!
Connecting devices to the USB
ports improperly may result in
damage to the jump starter and to
the connected devices.
− Always connect your device to the
USB port first and only then
switch the jump starter on.
− Check the operating voltage of
your electrical or electronic
device before connecting it to the
jump starter.
− If using the USB ports, do not use
the compressor or start-up
support at the same time.
NOTICE!
Using the USB port
The jump starter is equipped with a 12 V DC output
socket 11 of the cigarette lighter type. It is suited to
supplying 12 volt equipment such as lamps, camping
lights, fans, coffee machines, mobile phones and
coolers.
The package contents do not include connector cables
for either socket.
To switch on the 12V DC output, proceed as follows:
1. Connect your device to the 12V DC output socket.
2. Press the On/Off switch 2 .
3. Press and hold the LED button 4 for 5 seconds.
