ON-installation using a cooker hood
attached directly underneath the Pinion
ventilation unit
Enervent Standard cooker hood
Please note, that when using the ON mounting option
the condensation water drain pipe is routed out from the
back side of the cooker hood. If there is a wall directly
behind the cooker hood, prepare the wall to route the
condensation water drain pipe inside or on the wall to a
suitable drain.
•
Install the Pinion unit according to its installation
instructions, either using the wall / ceiling mounting frame
or directly on the wall. Make sure to follow manufacturer’s
instructions and local laws and legislation to comply with
minimum distance between the hob and the cooker
hood.
•
Remove the protective plate from the bottom of the
Pinion ventilation unit (8 screws).
•
Remove the precut insulation from the bottom of the
Pinion ventilation unit. Two different diameters for the
cooker hood duct coupling are provided (100 mm and
125 mm).
•
If necessary make the needed cut-outs in the casing of the
cooker hood to accommodate for the condensation drain,
the electrical cable(s) and the fixating screws for the wall/
ceiling mounting frame (if applicable).

FOR YOUR INFORMATION
•
Install the cooker hood duct coupling and damper flap to
the cooker hood. Check the functionality of the damper

using sheet metal screws. There are predrilled holes in the
bottom of the Pinion unit for the screws.

Pull the electrical cable through the rubber grommet in
the bottom right corner of the Pinion unit. Make sure the
grommet is watertight to prevent any condensation water
from dripping into the cooker hood.
•
Pull the cable to the electrical cabinet of the Pinion unit.
Make the electrical connections according to the electrical
schematic.
•
If needed, connect the condensation water drain using a
water trap to a suitable drain.
