- lead from lead-based paints,
- crystalline silica from bricks and cement and other masonry products, and
- arsenic and chromium from chemically-treated lumber.
Your risk from these exposures varies, depending on how often you do this type of work. To reduce your
exposure to these chemicals: work in a well ventilated area, and work with approved safety equipment, such
as those dust masks that are specially designed to filter out microscopic particles
SAFETY ADVICE FOR RECHARGEABLE BATTERY AND CHARGER
WARNING! During the use of tools supplied with batteries, the basic safety measures must be
followed in order to reduce fire hazards, electrolyte leakage and personal injury, including the
following precautions:
Ensure that the battery/ battery pack is suitable for the tool.
Ensure that outside surface of the battery pack is clean and dry before connecting it to the charger.
Ensure that the batteries are charged using the correct charger recommended by the manufacturer. Incorrect
use can create a risk of electric shock, overheating or the leaking of corrosive liquid from the battery.
If there is an electrolyte leak, avoid any contact with the skin. In the event of a leak, wipe with a rag. If the liquid
comes into contact with the skin, rinse abundantly with water. In the event of a reaction or contact with the
