Troubleshooting
If the
RESET/OFF
switch turns off:
The 15A circuit breaker has tripped. Examine your connected
equipment and remove the device that is overloading the
circuit. Then switch
RESET/OFF
back to
RESET
.
If the
GROUNDED WHEN LIT
indicator does not light when
you plug in the surge protector:
Move your surge protector to a different grounded, three-
prong AC outlet. If it works properly, your first outlets may
not be properly grounded and need to be repaired by a
professional electrician. If it still does not light, return the
product to the dealer for assistance.
If the
GROUNDED WHEN LIT
indicator turns off during use:
A portion of surge protection has been depleted. Replace
your surge protector.
If the
PROTECTED WHEN LIT
indicator does not light or the
alarm sounds:
The surge protector’s AC line is no longer protected; it may
have received a surge or spike beyond its specified limits. It
should have absorbed enough of the surge to protect your
connected equipment, but it will not protect against future
surges and spikes. Replace the surge protector.
If the
SWITCHED
outlets don’t turn on or off when a notebook
computer or docking station is connected to the
MAIN
outlet:
• Some notebook computers and docking stations draw
too much power during battery charging to allow the
SWITCHED
outlets to turn off.
• Some notebook computers and docking stations do not
draw enough power to turn on the
SWITCHED
outlets.
