Load for a compact version without local operation
1
Operating range
1.1 For order code for "Output", option A "4-20 mA HART"/option B "4-20 mA HART, pulse/frequency/
switch output" with Ex i and option C "4-20 mA HART + 4-20 mA analog"
1.2 For order code for "Output", option A "4-20 mA HART"/option B "4-20 mA HART, pulse/frequency/
switch output" for non-hazardous area and Ex d
Sample calculation
Supply voltage of power supply unit:
– U
S
= 19 V
– U
term. min
= 12 V (measuring device) + 1 V (local operation without lighting) = 13 V
Maximum load: R
B
≤ (19 V - 13 V): 0.022 A = 273 Ω
The minimum terminal voltage (U
Kl min
) increases if local operation is used.→ 19.
5.1.6
Preparing the measuring device
Carry out the steps in the following order:
1. Mount the sensor and transmitter.
2. Connection housing, sensor: Connect connecting cable.
3. Transmitter: Connect connecting cable.
4. Transmitter: Connect signal cable and cable for supply voltage.
NOTICE
Insufficient sealing of the housing!
Operational reliability of the measuring device could be compromised.
‣
Use suitable cable glands corresponding to the degree of protection.
