Slide the septum onto the syringe canula up to the union nut. The septum ensures
system tightness for the septum-free lock during injection.

Insert the syringe in the syringe adapter and close the clip.
}
Fasten the syringe piston with the locking screw.
}
Close the locking lever over the syringe cylinder. Press lightly against the syringe
adapter from below when doing this.
}
Connect the power supply unit to the mains network.
}
Adjust the autosampler before the first start. If the piston does not go completely
down after initialization of the autosampler, adjust the piston as well.
Checking and changing the
configuration
}
Switch on the analyzer. Start the multiWin program and initialize the analysis sys-
tem.
}
Check the device configuration with the Instrument | System-Information menu op-
tion in the multiWin set-up info window.
}
If necessary, change the configuration:
– Exit the multiWin program.
– Start the setup tool in the Windows interface with Start | Program files | multi-
Win | multiWin setup tool.
– Select the autosampler type in the Sampler list.
– Exit the multiWin set-up tool window with [Create].
– Start the multiWin program and initialize the analysis system.
– Open the Options window with menu option Configuration | Edit options. Go to
the Analyzer components tab.
– In the Sampler group, select the appropriate tablet and vessel size.

In the Syringe group, select the appropriate syringe size.
}
Exit the window with [OK].
