Maintenance and cleaning
The following maintenance measures must be carried out regularly to ensure the long life and outstanding service of your gas
heater:
•
Keep the exterior clean.

Clean with warm soapy water. Never use flammable or corrosive cleaners.
)
When cleaning your gas heater, make sure that the areas around the burner and the pilot light assembly remain dry. Do
NOT use the gas regulator if it comes in contact with water,
in which case it must be replaced.
•
Check the gas heater for the presence of spiders, spider webs and other insects after longer periods of inactivity.
•
The airflow must not be obstructed. Keep the control panels, burner and air circulation channels clean. Signs of possible
blockage include:
)
Gas odour and flame with very yellow tip.
)
The gas heater does NOT reach the desired temperature.
)
The gas heater glows very unevenly.
)
The gas heater emits popping noises.
•
Spiders and other insects may have got into the burner openings. This may lead to damage and to inconsistent performance.
Clean out the burner openings with compressed air.
•
Carbon deposits can pose a fire hazard. If carbon deposits appear, clean the reflector and the glass tube with soapy water.
Always use caution when cleaning the glass tube.
Storage
Before storing between periods of operation:
•
Turn the dial to the "OFF" position.
•
Turn the knob on the LPG cylinder to "OFF".
•
Store the gas heater in an upright position in an area protected from the weather (rain, sleet, hail, snow).
•
Make sure that the gas heater is not accessible to children.
•
The gas heater may be covered to protect it from accumulation of dust and dirt whilst being stored. However, first wait until
the gas heater is cooled completely.
Before storing for longer periods of inactivity:
•
Turn the regulator dial to the "OFF" position.
•
Disconnect the LPG cylinder from the gas heater and transport it to a safe and well-ventilated place outdoors. Do NOT store
the cylinder in a place where temperatures can exceed 50°C.
•
Store the gas heater in an upright position in an area protected from the weather (rain, sleet, hail, snow).
•
Make sure that the gas heater is not accessible to children.
•
The gas heater may be covered to protect it from accumulation of dust and dirt whilst being stored. However, first wait until
the gas heater is cooled completely.

IMPORTANT!
Corrosion occurs more quickly in environments with salty air (for example near the ocean). Check corroded areas
frequently and repair promptly.
