Leak Detection
Warning
•
The gas connection of this gas heater was factory-tested for leaks. A complete leak tightness test must be carried out at the
site of assembly due to possible improper conditions during transport or because the gas heater may have been exposed to
excessive pressure.
•
The gas heater must be tested with a full cylinder.
•
Make sure that the safety valve is in the OFF position.
•
Prepare a soap solution consisting of one part liquid detergent and one part water. The soap solution can be applied from a
spray bottle or with a brush or cloth.
•
If a leak is present, soap bubbles will form.
•
Turn the gas feed ON.
•
If you determine the presence of a leak, turn off the gas feed. Tighten all loose connections, then open the gas feed and re-
peat the test. If you see bubbles again, contact your dealer.
•
Never test for leaks whilst smoking or near an open flame.
Warning
•
The gas heater is intended for outdoor use. Always ensure that it is placed in an area with sufficient circulation of fresh air.
•
Keep a sufficient distance from flammable materials, i.e. keep clear at least 45 cm above and at least 70 cm from the sides.
•
Always place the gas heater on flat, secure surfaces.
•
Never operate this gas heater in explosive atmospheres, for example in the vicinity of stored petrol or other flammable liquids
or gases.
