Battery-charging technology
After use, the hand piece can be placed back in the charging
dock for recharging the lithium battery or for a full battery charge
for 15 days of toothbrush pleasure. If you use your emmi®-dent
Platinum for more than 6 minutes per day, e.g. in case of several
users, take a shorter interval for recharging the battery. If the
battery is nearly empty, the power indicator does not light up
when switching on the emmi®-dent Platinum (bottom green
LED). In this case the red LED shortly flashes for 5 seconds and the
device is switched off completely. After recharging the device for
24 hours, the normal functions are restored.
Battery exchange and disposal
The unit contains a special, environment-friendly, long-last-
ing battery. The battery is contained in the handpiece of the
device. If after long-term use of the unit, the red LED flashes in
spite of extensive recharging, the battery must be exchanged.
Only use an emmi®-dent Platinum Lithium-Save-battery for the
emmi®-dent Platinum (original exchange part with internal safety
switch). If you cannot exchange the battery yourself, we will be
happy to do this for you in a professional manner with low costs.
If you exchange the battery yourself, please do the following:
Loosen the screw at the bottom of the handpiece and remove the
battery holder jointly with the bottom lid. When inserting a new
battery, check the correct polarity. Insert the positive terminal in
the bottom lid holder. During assembly, please ensure that the
parts are correctly seated and sealed. Only then, safety class IP54
is guaranteed. Spare batteries can be purchased at the locations
where you have bought your emmi®-dent Platinum.
Note: The warranty, if still applicable, is only valid when the pro-
duct is handled properly and the original spare parts are used.
The special battery in the device may not be disposed as normal
domestic waste. For disposal, community collection points as
well as other containers are available (e.g. at all sale points for
similar batteries). Please see the hazard instructions mentioned
below.
Hazard instruction
The emmi®-dent Platinum contains a battery with build-in safety
technology. Even then, the battery may not come to kids‘ hands
and the instructions for disposal must be followed. If in spite of
all safety measures batteries are leaking, avoid contact with your
skin and dispose the battery as described above. Safety mea-
sures are also required for the connection to the power supply
(socket). The charging dock has a fully insulated cast housing,
but never immerse the charging dock in water. The connecting
cable must be in flawless condition. In case of damage to the
housing, plug or connections, the whole charging dock must
be discarded and replaced. Only use the emmi®-dent Platinum
for its intended use as described. Children may only use the
device according to the instructions and with the supervision
of an adult.
