OSI PI Machine Adapter Architecture
OSI PI Machine Adapter enables Predix applications to utilize data already consolidated in PI
historians, such as to aggregate data across power plants or manufacturing facilities vs. re-
implementing connections from potentially hundreds of devices. Provides secure data
collection from OSIsoft® PI Servers via the PI Web API interface, enables customers to
analyze data stored in OSI PI in their Predix environment and make this industrial data
available to the Predix Cloud.

Obtaining the OSI PI Machine Adapter
The OSI PI Machine Adapter must be purchased for each Field Agent where it will be
installed.

After downloading the zip file containing the OSI PI Machine Adapter, verify the file integrity
by calculating a SHA-256 sum of the zip file and compare it to the expected SHA-256 sum
