Closing a device configuration file

Closing a device configuration file removes that configuration file from ROCLINK 800 software. It 
does not remove the file from the Model 3711. However, if you are connected to a Model 3711 and 
you close its device configuration window, you are automatically disconnected. 

To close a device configuration file:

1. Select the device configuration file that you want to close, either by clicking on it or by using 

the Window menu.

2. Click 

File > Close

.

Downloading a device configuration file to the Model 3711

To download a device configuration file to the Model 3711:

1. Connect to the Model 3711.

2. Click 

File > Download

 and specify the file that contains the data to be downloaded.

3. Click 

Open

. The Download Configuration dialog box is displayed (see Figure 14-5).

4. Check the specific types of configuration data that you want to download. Use the 

Select All

 

and 

Deselect All

 buttons to check or uncheck all categories.

5. Click 

Download

. The progress of the download is displayed on screen.

6. Click 

OK

 when the download is complete.

Note: The configuration data is downloaded to the Model 3711’s SRAM. If you want to save it to flash 
memory, you must perform that step manually (see Section 14.3).
