Replacing the server chassis
Installing a replacement server
To install a new server, you must complete the following tasks:

Remove the inner rails from the original server
◆
Attach the slide rails to the replacement server
◆
Install the new server in the cabinet
Removing inner rails from the original server
To remove an inner rail from the original server, pull up the stand-off
spring and push the rail backward, off the connection studs
( Figure 18 ).

Attach the inner rails to the replacement server. Refer to “Attaching
the inner rails” on page 5 .
