Overview: DD9500/DD9800 system DIMMs
DD9500/DD9800 DIMMs are not hot-swappable. The system must be powered down for a
DIMM replacement or addition. Each system contains 8 memory risers and 64 DIMM
slots. Depending on the model, a system contains 256 GB, 512 GB, or 768 GB of memory.
For DD9500 systems:

256 GB systems contain 32 x 8-GB DIMMs.
l
The upgrade from 256 GB to 512 GB adds an additional 16 x 16 GB DIMMS.
l
512 GB systems contain 32 x 8-GB and 16 x16-GB DIMMs.
For DD9800 systems:
l
256 GB systems contain 32 x 8-GB DIMMs.
