BEFORE USING FOR THE FIRST TIME
Remove the tape and any labels (apart from the rating plate) from the refrigerator before using
it. To remove tape or glue residue, rub the surface. Tape and glue residue can also easily be
removed by rubbing in a small amount of washing up liquid. Rinse with warm water and wipe
down.
Do not use sharp implements, alcohol, flammable liquids or abrasive detergents to remove tape
or glue residue. These products can damage the refrigerator’s surface.
When moving the refrigerator, do not tilt it more than 45° from the upright position.
Clean the refrigerator before use once you have removed all packaging material.
PLACEMENT
For best performance, make sure there is at least 50 mm clearance between the rear of the
refrigerator and the wall, and at least 50 mm above the refrigerator.
If you install the refrigerator side-on next to a wall, leave enough space on the hinge side to
allow the door to be opened.
Never install the refrigerator near a heat source or in direct sunlight.
Levelling the appliance
The refrigerator should be adjusted on installation to ensure it is level. Incorrect level adjust-
ment can make the refrigerator door impossible to close or seal properly, and this can lead to
problems involving ice formation and moisture. It is very important that the refrigerator should
be correctly adjusted to ensure it is level if it is to operate correctly.
Level the refrigerator by turning the feet along a given side clockwise to raise that side and anti-
clockwise to lower it.
NOTE: Ask an assistant to press upwards against the top of the refrigerator on the side you
want to adjust, so as to take the weight off the adjustable feet. This will make it easier to adjust
the feet.
