7.4.2 Message encoding
CMi6110 has three options when it comes to message encoding. The user can either use M-Bus, JSON
or SenML/CBOR for encoding. These three options are described in detail in the upcoming sections.
7.4.2.1 M-Bus
If using M-Bus as message encoding technique, data will be divided into Data Information Blocks (DIB)
that include Data information field (DIF code), Value information field (VIF code) and a data field (DATA)
where the actual payload is stored (illustrated in Figure 7).
