7.4 Power-up and start-up
DANGER
RISK OF ELECTRIC SHOCK, EXPLOSION OR ELECTRIC ARC
• Do not install the equipment while the power supply is connected.
•
Cutoffthepowersupplytoallequipment,includinganyconnecteddevices,andremovethepowerfusesbeforeremoving
anycoversorhatches,orbeforeinstalling/uninstallingaccessories,hardware,cablesorwires.
• AlwaysuseaproperlycalibratedVoltmetertomakesurethesystemispoweredoff.
• Do not touch the unshielded components or the terminals while they are live.
•
Makesurethereisaneffectiveearthconnection;ifthereisnot,earththeequipment.
• Before applying voltage to the equipment:
• Makesureallprotectiveelements,suchascovers,hatchesandgrilles,arefittedand/orclosed.
• Checkallwiringconnections.
NOTICE
MALFUNCTIONING OF THE EQUIPMENT
• Makesurethewatermainsiscorrectlyconnected.
• Makesuretherearenotrapsinthedrainageduct.
• Makesurethesteamoutletclosureclampsareproperlytightened.
• Makesuretherearenopocketsofcondensateorthrottlinginthesteamdeliverychannel.
To start the humidifier (with humidistat connected or probe connected if in proportional mode):
• Checkthefillinganddrainnetwork(seesections: "5.2 HYDRAULIC INSTALLATION" ON PAGE 17,
"5.3 WATER DRAINAGE SYSTEM" ON PAGE 18 and "5.4 STEAM DISTRIBUTION IN THE AHU" ON PAGE 19) ;
• Fitthepowerfuses;
• Connect the humidistat or the probe in accordance with the required operation (see section "6.3 WIRING DIAGRAM"
ON PAGE 24) ;
• Makesurethereisavoltage-freecontactorashort-circuit("jumper")betweenterminals7-8Enablingcontact , see
chapter "13. WIRING DIAGRAMS" ON PAGE 39;
• Activatetheisolatorinstalledoutsidethehumidifierandopenthewatersupplysource;
• PresstheON/OFFkeyonthedooroftheelectricpanel;
• Settherequiredhumiditysetpointto100%;
• Thehumidifierstartsawaterfilling( filling in progress ) and draining ( draining in progress ) phase;
• When draining is complete ( draining complete ),settherequiredhumiditysetpointasdesired;
• Set the type of control (internal/external) to be used and the required setpoint value;
•
Whenhumidityisrequested,thehumidifierstartsaboilerfillingcycle,fillingtotheminimumwaterlevelthatguarantees
rapid steam production;
• Thehumidifierfullydrainsthewaterandreplacesitcyclically,performingthewashingprocedure,inordertomaintain
efficienthumidifieroperatingconditions.
