voltage on three phased installations, as the point of
detection can be influenced by all three phases, canceling
out the electrical field, making voltage detection impossible.
In this case, the cable can be carrying voltage, even if the
instrument is not indicating the presence of voltage.
If the batteries are deeply discharged, wrongly inserted or if
the electronics have been severely damaged, the instrument
does not work and will not give a warning, even when
performing the function test. Always check the instrument on
a known voltage source before performing measurements.
Cleaning should only be performed with a damp cloth and
mild detergent like hand soap. The instrument must be dry
before use.
