GENERAL DESCRIPTION
Based on a microcontroller and equipped with a short circuit isolator, the IO501 is an output module
(OM) with a dry contact output to be used with Elkron FAP series control panels. The module is directly
powered from the detection circuit and it doesn’t need an external power supply. A jumper is used to
select the normally open or normally closed contact type. The module has an input for supervise the
external local power supply of the handled device: a loss or presence of the local power supply is
signalled from the module to the control panel. The bi-colour LED (green-red), in operating mode,
indicates the module condition while, in service mode, it can be used
to show the detector’s address by a
special function activated from the control panel. Delay between output feedback and actual output
control (hold-off delay) can be programmed in the control panel. This delay is expressed in seconds and it
covers a range between 0 and 255 seconds with 1 sec. steps. The default value is 0.
For further information refer to the
FAP series Control Panel’s programming manual.
ADDRESSING
The address (1-128) is software set and stored in a non-volatile memory.
The module can be addressed, in manual or automatic mode from the Control Panel.
For further details see the Control Panel’s programming manual.
