11. Install the CO
2
tank in the Smartwell Cabinet.
a. Place the CO
2
tank inside the Smartwell Cabinet in
location shown.
b. Use the sling to tighten the CO
2
tank in position.
c. Connect the 1/4" poly tube between the CO
2
tank
and the CO
2
IN port of Remote Chiller.
5.3 Chiller Duct Installation in Kitchen Cabinet
NOTICE
Chiller unit requires proper
ventilation to operate
without over heating. The steps in this section 5.3
are for installations where the chiller will be
stored in an under cabinet enclosure (18" wide
minimum, recommended 24" wide or greater).
Skip this section if installing the chiller into the
Smartwell Cabinet (See section 5.2) as the chiller
duct is not needed for that installation type.
CAUTION
Prior to installing the
chiller duct, ensure
appropriate air ventilation holes are drilled in the
chosen cabinet's toe kick (area protruding at the
base of the cabinet). Installing the chiller duct
without proper ventilation holes in place will lead
to overheating the chiller and enclosure. See the
separate document, "Smartwell Chiller Ventilation
Instructions," which includes templates for
drilling the required ventilation holes for the
chiller.
1. Remove 4 screws from the grate on the back of the
chiller.
2. Place the chiller duct into position as shown, aligning
the 4 holes with the previous location of the 4 screws
removed from the grate.
3. Replace the 4 screws, securing the chiller duct and
grate to the chiller.
Note:
Ensure the chiller duct is covering the two
exhaust holes in the cabinet toe kick. The hot air from
the chiller will be vented out through these two holes.
5.4 Connecting the Filter and Remote Chiller
Note:
If you do not have the optional Countertop
Cabinet, place the remote chiller and CO
2
tank
in the desired storage location. There is 10 ft of
provided tubing to connect the CO
2
tank, so keep
this in mind when planning the CO
2
tank storage
location.
1. The filter can be conveniently installed on the back of
the Countertop dispenser unit using the included two
screws, or if there is proper ventilation for air flow,
the filter can be installed in the desired under-cabinet
location.
Note:
The location where the filter is stored should
not exceed 100°F
.
