Probable Issue
Troubleshooting process
Flavor Selection/Dispense
Still water is being dispensed when sparkling
water is selected.
Check solenoid connection, if this is fine, follow
below:
1. Make sure the CO
2
tank is not empty.
2. Make sure the carbonation solenoid is
functioning correctly.
If Steps 1 and 2 are working:
1. Turn off the CO
2
tank by turning the knob
clockwise.
2. Place a large container in the alcove and
dispense still water for 20 seconds.
3. Select Sparkling Water and dispense the
water for another 20 seconds. This will clear
the CO
2
gas from the line and the unit will
start dispensing only still water.
4. Turn the unit OFF for a few seconds and
then ON again. Wait for the Home screen to
appear.
6. Open the valve of the CO
2
tank by turning
the knob counterclockwise. Make sure the
pressure setting is between 55 to 60 psi.
7. Select Sparkling Water and touch the PRESS
button.
8. Dispense two to three 8 ounce glasses of
sparkling water to ensure the CO
2
is once
again mixing into the water.
9. If the water is still not carbonating, contact
Smartwell Customer Care.
Flavor Selection/Dispense
Flavor button on touch screen is visible (grayed
out), but is not selectable.
Enhancements and water are selectable.
1. The flavor pouch is empty. Replace with a
new pouch.
2. The citric acid pouch is empty. Replace with a
new pouch.
3. Reboot the unit and wait for the home screen
to appear and try again.
4. If the issue continues, contact Smartwell
Customer Care.
Flavor Selection/Dispense
Flavor or enhancement selection is not
selectable after 3 seconds.
The user must touch the flavor(s) or touch the
PRESS button within 3 seconds of starting to
select the beverage.
Flavor Selection/Dispense
A flavor button on touch screen is not visible or
grayed out.
1. That particular slot does not have a pouch or
the pouch is empty.
2. The slot has not been programed for a
particular pouch.
Pouch/Slot Modification
A flavor or enhancement is not selectable or
grayed out for a particular slot when replacing
a pouch.
1. Pouch with that flavor or enhancement has
already been installed or programmed into
another slot.
2. The unit cannot have two pouches of the
same flavor or enhancement at the same
time.
Setup
Time and date is not displayed on the setup
screen.
1. The unit is not connected to the Internet.
2. Date and time automatically sync from the
Internet
3. Reset the time zone to your location.
Setup
Water flow rate settings do not save after being
changed
1. Enter the appropriate water flow for the still
water and sparkling water and then press
done to save the values.
2. If the issue continues, contact Smartwell
Customer Care.
