Installation using the powder compound
For models IWB4.2X10, IWB4.2X20, and IWB4.2X30
1. Begin by marking the area of the screen size to be installed on the wall or surface.
2. Pour an entire powder bag into a spray bottle and mix with 27 oz. of room temperature water and
shake well. This will make the mixture into an adhesive compound for sticking the film to the wall.
Note: Once the liquid adhesive has been mixed, it must be applied within 4 hours to ensure a sealed
installation of the Insta-DE2 to the wall. Use one bag for every 27 oz of water.
3. Spray the adhesive evenly on the wall within the marked area where the Insta-DE2 screen will be
applied.
4. Carefully pick up the Insta-DE2 film and make sure the back side is facing the wall it will be
installed. Be careful and do not allow the film to fold in any way to avoid permanent creasing or
wrinkles.
Note: The back side of the Insta-DE 2 is shiny.
5. Align the edge of the Insta-DE2 to the marked area that now has the adhesive compound and attach
it to the surface. Once the edge has been glued to the surface, repeat the process in 3-4 feet increments
making sure to flatten the material along the way to avoid creating air bubbles/pockets.
6. Repeat the process throughout the rest of the material and use a flexible wall covering smoothing
tool (not included) in an upward and downward motion to assure a flat installation and to remove any
air bubbles/pockets.
7. Use a soft damp cloth to clean and remove any residue from the adhesive compound.
Caution:
The adhesive compound is meant to be permanent for the life of the product. It does not remove easily. Please
attach very carefully to avoid having to remove the product and positioning it in a different location.
