Break-In-Period
Once unboxed, the Elipson Infinite loudspeakers are not immediately able to restitute all
frequencies with equal efficiency. The drivers used in the Infinite range are equipped with
complex mechanical components which require a period of adaptation (“break-in”) to
perform at their best and adjust to the temperature and humidity of their environment.
This break-in period may last for several weeks, but you can speed up the process by using
the speakers to diffuse a radio program for 20-50 hours non-stop at moderate volume.
Cable selection
Choose high-quality cables (preferably Oxygen Free Copper) with an appropriate cross-
section (>2,5mm
2
) and length. Your Elipson dealer will be able to advise you.
Amplifier selection
The characteristics of your home theatre installation are decisive when selecting an
amplifier. We recommend choosing an amplifier with an output power (RMS) superior to
the nominal power handling of your Elipson Infinite loudspeakers. At moderate volume,
the power supplied by the amplifier will be sufficient to keep distortion at a minimum
level, and the speaker’s drivers will thus be protected from damage.
Providing the amplifier with headroom ensures optimal performance,
on the condition of maintaining reasonable volume levels. We advice
you to connect our Elipson Infinite A1000 amplifier to our Elipson
Subwoofer Infinite S12, both have been designed and engineered to
perfectly work.
Your Elipson dealer will be able to advise you on the most suitable amplifier for your
system.
Care and Maintenance
In order to maximize the durability of your speakers, we recommend cleaning them
regularly. Use a soft cloth to remove dust and a moistened cloth - with a small amount of
gentle soap if necessary - to remove stains. The lacquered front panel may be cleaned
with a soft cloth and standard glass cleaner.
Never use solvents, detergents, alcohol, corrosive products, scrapers or scouring pads, as
this may damage the speakers.
