6.0 PRECAUTIONS AND RISKS
l
Be sure that on the back of the unit the specification tag is present.
l
Before using the unit, be sure the operating voltage of your unit corresponds to that
of the power supply.
l
We suggest unwinding completely the power supply cord, in order to avoid any
overheating.
l
As long as the plug is in the socket, the unit is not disconnected from the power sup-
ply.
l
Do not use adapter or extension cord that do not comply the safety rules in force,
that have a not right current rating and that let the protective earth resistance higher
than 0.2
N
.
l
Do not pull the cable to disconnect the unit from the power supply.
l
Do not place anything over the unit.
l
Avoid installing or leaving the unit:
- near heat sources, i.e. radiators, air ducts or heaters;
- directly exposed to sunlight;
- exposed to rain or humidity;
- exposed to dust or dirt.
l
If the above mentioned conditions are not followed, the unit could be seriously
damaged.
l
Do not touch any uncovered part of cables or applicators while the unit is working:
there is risk of burns.
l
In order to avoid electromagnetic interference, mobile phones shouldn't be used in
the same room where the unit is working.
l
Should any solid object or liquid penetrate into the unit, disconnect it immediately
and ask maintenance of qualified personnel before using it again.
l
Be sure that a good aeration grants a proper operation of the unit.
l
Operating close to short-wave units can lead to outputs instability. Working of high-
frequency units can interfere with the functioning of electrical units. Therefore, when
used simultaneously in the same room, a minimum safety-distance should be obser-
ved. In most cases 1,5 m distances is enough, but we suggest at least 5 m.
WARNING
The operator is advised against using the pressure therapy in case of pregnant women, can-
cers in the treatment area. Before treating clients with implanted heart pacemakers or with
cochlea transplant, consult a specialist.
Before treating clients with lower limb ischemia, cardiovascular disease consult a physician.
