MAINTENANCE INSTRUCTION

This part of the manual focuses on maintenance. To ensure the optimal

flame  picture  of  your  device,  an  annual  maintenance  by  a  competent

company or installer is prescribed.

91

MAINTENANCE IN THE COMBUSTION CHAMBER

During maintenance the glass windows of the fire need to be removed.

To do this follow the following steps:

911

(DIS)ASSEMBLY OF THE TRIMS

For a tight finish of the fireplace, trims are available. During maintenance
these trims must be removed, before the glass can be removed. The trims

are placed at the bottom and are kept in palce with magnets. Be carefull
when pulling them away to not scratch the glass.

912

REMOVE GLASS

To be able to cleam the glass on the inside, one needs to remove the

glass. To do this follow these steps:

•

Check, whether the trims are removed in as in step 10.1.1.

•

Remove the ropes holding the glass at the top side.

•

Put the section cup on the glass and make sure it is properly

vaccuumed, so it will not come off.

•

Carefully lift the glass out of the lower glass rail and tilt it out a bit.

Then lower it further next to the fireplace till it is clear of the top

bracket before putting it away. See

Figure 9.2

•

Carefully take out the corner glasses by pulling them outward a bit,
lifting them and tilting them out, see

Figure 9.3

 .

•

Before taking out the inner glasses the glass brackets at the top

need to be unscrewed and removed, see

Figure 9.4

•

After removing the glass brackets place the suction cop on the glass
and make sure it is properly vacuumed.

•

The inner glass can be removed by lifting it up and tilitng it out

NB

: Put away the glass in a safe place, when you are not using it, to make

sure it will not damage during maintenance. Remove the suction cup
after putting away the glass to avoid tracing or stains.

92
