1. Unplug the iron before cleaning.
Always place the iron on its heel rest and
allow the iron to cool down. To clean
exterior surfaces, use a damp soft cloth
and wipe dry. Do not use any chemical
solvents, as these will damage the
surface. Do not store the iron with water
in the tank. Wind the mains cord around
the cable wrap facility (L).
2. Auto-clean function.
The auto-clean function helps to slow
down scaling and build up in the iron. It is
recommended to perform the auto-clean
function every 4 weeks. Fill the water
tank with cold tap water (never use any
descaling fluid or vinegar). Place the
iron on its heel rest. Plug the iron into
the power outlet and heat up the iron
to the maximum temperature •••. When
the temperature indicator light (H) turns
green, unplug the iron. Hold the iron
horizontally over a sink, then press and
hold down the auto-clean button (G).
Hold the button down and gently shake
over the sink until the water tank is
empty. Release the button to stop. Then
plug the iron back again and heat up
the soleplate to the ••• setting to dry the
soleplate. Once the temperature indicator
light turns green, unplug the iron and let
it cool down on its heel rest then wipe
dry the soleplate. NOTE! Do not use any
descaling fluid or vinegar.
3. Cleaning the soleplate.
Do not use scouring pads or harsh
cleaners on the soleplate as these may
damage the surface. To remove burnt
residue, iron over a damp cloth while the
iron is still warm. To clean the soleplate,
simply wipe with a soft damp cloth and
wipe dry.
