Information on acrylamides

Important!

 According to the newest

scientific knowledge, if you brown food
(specially the one which contains starch),

acrylamides can pose a health risk. Thus,
we recommend that you cook at the lowest
temperatures and do not brown food too
much.

CARE AND CLEANING

WARNING!

Refer to "Safety information" chap-
ter.

Notes on cleaning:

• Clean the front of the appliance with a

soft cloth with warm water and a clean-
ing agent.

• To clean metal surfaces, use a usual

cleaning agent.

• Clean the appliance interior after each

use. Then you can remove dirt more
easily and it does not burn on.

• Clean stubborn dirt with a special oven

cleaner.

• Clean all accessories after each use and

let them dry. Use a soft cloth with warm
water and a cleaning agent.

• If you have nonstick accessories, do not

clean them using aggressive agents,
sharp-edged objects or a dishwasher. It
can cause damage to the nonstick coat-
ing.

Catalytic cleaning

The walls with a catalytic coating are self-
cleaning. They absorb fat which collects on
the walls while the appliance operates.

To support the self-cleaning
procedure, heat the empty appliance
on a regular basis:

1.

Remove the accessories from the ap-
pliance.

2.

Set the Catalytic cleaning function. Re-
fer to "Oven functions".
The display shows 

CATA

 and the du-

ration of the cleaning procedure (1
hour). You cannot set the duration, but
you can use the End function to delay
the start of the cleaning procedure.

3.

An acoustic signal sounds after the
time ends. The appliance deactivates.

4.

Push a button or open the oven door
to stop the acoustic signal.

5.

Clean the bottom of the appliance with
a soft and moist sponge.

WARNING!

Do not clean the catalytic surface
with oven sprays, abrasive cleaning
agents, soaps or other cleaning
agents. There is a risk of damage
to the catalytic surface.

Discolouration of the catalytic sur-
face has no effect on the catalytic
properties.
During catalytic cleaning the oven
light is on.

Cleaning reminder

As a reminder that catalytic cleaning is nec-
essary, 

CATA

 flashes in the display for 10

seconds after each activation and deactiva-
tion of the appliance.
